Shouldn't the CFPB work to address the impediments to starting a bank in LMI markets rather than punish community banks who scrambled to serve their customers when the economy shut down? Internet depositors most likely have no affinity for the bank in which they do business. They troll the web for best rate banks, assuming one depository with FDIC insurance is no better than another. They will keep their money with your bank so long as the rate is at or near the top.
