Rasmussen: Yes, it is an honor to serve the Group 3 Banks in Texas, southern New Mexico and northern Louisiana for three more years. Finally, I focus on economic news in our markets, which include five communities south of Houston. The Houston region has seen substantial layoffs, and the daily headlines predict more will be announced.

She did note, however, that one does have to mentally adjust a bit to letting someone who goes by the name “Big Sam from Louisiana” take your stuff and go someplace with it, but Big Sam had performed his task admirably. He further noted, “I love the way we take care of the community. We’re honestly built on neighborliness.”
