Shazam wins endorsement of Virginia banking group

The Virginia Association of Community Banks has named the Shazam Network as a preferred service provider of ATM and debit card processing for its member banks. A press release from Shazam said that the endorsement of an ATM and debit processor is a first for VACB.

Jim Ghiglieri, Shazam SVP of relationship development, worked with VACB on the agreement and said that the new partnership with opens up "unlimited possibilities" for Shazam's relationships in the state.

Mike Ewing, VACB 2016 chairman, said that Shazam's emphasis on serving community matched up well with the association's mission.

"The future and power of community banks is in collaboration. By combining our influence and expertise, we remain a strong voice for our communities," he said in the release. "Shazam's member-controlled structure will help to keep our community banks competitive. That makes their network a natural fit for VACB."
