InRoads Credit Union in Oregon names successor for retiring CEO

InRoads Credit Union in Saint Helens, Oregon, has hired Nathan Cox as the company's new president and CEO.

He replaces Brooke Van Vleet-Pearson, who is retiring after working at the $360 million-asset institution's leader for nearly 11 years.

Nathan Cox has been named the new chief executive of InRoads Credit Union in Oregon.

Cox was most recently senior vice president and chief lending officer at Travis Credit Union in Vacaville, California.

"With Nathan's strong commercial background, his dedication to community and his ability to align teams, he will further build on Van Vleet-Pearson's legacy of success," said Lea Chitwood, board chair, in a press release Friday.

Cox has more than 35 years of business and professional experience, primarily in financial services, including holding senior management positions for more than 15 years.

He is actively involved in credit union organizations including the African American Credit Union Coalition and in community organizations such as the Employee Development Network and the African American Business Resource Group, the credit union said.

InRoads earned $2.7 million in 2022, a 21% increase compared with a year earlier, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
