Bank of New York Mellon has hired a new chief operating officer for its markets business.
Piers Murray will step into the role June 15. He will replace Regina Meredith-Carpeni, who is retiring after a career that spanned nearly four decades with BNY Mellon in various roles, including founder and co-chair of the Women's Initiatives Network.
Murray will report to Michelle Neal, BNY Mellon markets president. He joins the custody bank from Deutsche Bank, where he was global co-head of listed derivatives and markets clearing. He has also worked for JPMorgan Chase.
