Facebook is the key to online traffic—but most small businesses run to the social media king to drive in-store traffic, too.
More than 40% of SMBs will turn to Facebook for a boost in in-store traffic, according to a survey of 250 SMBs across the U.S., conducted by digital marketing technology company Netsertive. For banks and other FIs that pursue a more omni-channel approach to building customer relations, Facebook could be just the way to attract branch traffic.
According to the report, many SMBs are still struggling to attract customers via social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, with about half of respondents admitting that they lack a formal social media strategy.
While most SMBs agree on the importance of Facebook when it comes to traffic, only 9% of survey participants cited the importance of Instagram, and only 6% agreed that Twitter was a valuable tool to drive sales.
