Shouldn’t banks be more like Apple stores? And shouldn’t fintech conferences be more like Apple stores?
Bank Innovation 2018 will be. The event, taking place March 5-6 at the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco, will feature three financial experts at their own “bars,” ready to dispense financial advice. They may even have signature cocktails on offer. Whether you’re a startup with an idea, or a banker with a structural problem to solve, the Innovation Bar has what you need.
The innovation bar this year will feature Ryan Gilbert, partner at Propel Venture Partners, as one its three speakers. Gilbert has 20 years of global financial services expertise spanning payments, remittances, credit, security, and compliance, and is Propel’s representative on the boards of Guideline and EaseCentral. He serves as the executive chairman of SmartBizLoans, a small business lending marketplace he founded as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Venrock; the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s nominated director of bKash, Bangladesh’s leading remittance network; and a director of River City Bank in Sacramento.
What might his cocktail be? We can’t wait to see either!
