NCUA banned one former credit union employee in December

The National Credit Union Administration has barred one former credit union employee from engaging in the dealings of any federally insured financial institution indefinitely.

Dianne Richardson, who previously worked for the $215 million-asset Pioneer West Virginia Federal Credit Union in Charleston, West Virginia, is forbidden from participating in any and all affairs of an insured depository institution, the NCUA said Thursday. Richardson was found guilty of embezzling funds while employed at PWVFCU as a teller from September 2013 to February 2019, according to agency documents.

Richardson agreed and consented to the terms listed within the prohibition order issued to her, and confirmed her compliance to settle the claim against her from the NCUA.

The NCUA has issued a total of 25 prohibitions in 2021.
