Boston-based Radius Bank, along with its NYC-based partner Mantl, has opened a digital account opening platform, the bank announced. This platform allows users to reduce the time it takes to open a new bank account to under four minutes, the bank said.
The platform, which was built in August 2017, has also allowed Radius to significantly reduce the number of applications for accounts that need to be manually reviewed (a 95% reduction, it reported).
Developed in tandem with Mantl, this partnership is the latest move by the Boston bank to establish an innovative place in the financial ecosystem.
It follows several other key partnerships with fintechs, including one with lender Prosper and another with socially conscious banking service Aspiration for checking accounts, both in 2015.
