Customers who use mobile banking apps more often than their peers are likely to have a better understanding of their financials, according to research conducted by Citibank.
The bank’s Mobile Banking Study, released last week, found that 65% of mobile banking users were confident that they knew the exact balance of their bank accounts, versus 53% of non-mobile banking users.
The study of 2,000 U.S. consumers also found that a well-designed user experience continues to be integral to mobile banking users, and further, a good mobile banking experience is almost guaranteed to keep customers with your bank, according to Citi.
The survey found that 80% of those users with “high functioning apps,” or those with five or more features, are likely to stick with their bank over the next 12 months, compared to just 70% of those will low-functioning apps.
