"Darius embodies our organization's mission to help you realize your hopes, dreams and aspirations. … His strategy for 2023 and beyond will deliver speed and simplicity to differentiate your member experience, [he] will lead his team by empowering a culture of success and fulfillment to attract and retain the very best talent [and] he will reignite a focus on making tangible impact within the community we call home," Joeri Carty, chairman of the credit union's board of directors, said in a press release Wednesday.

Prior to his career with Red Rocks, Wise held membership roles on the boards of various nonprofit organizations such as the Denver Institute for Faith & Work and Young Life, as well as leadership positions with Denver United Church and CrossPurpose.

"I'd like to thank our board of directors for your support, trust, commitment and belief in me as well as the mission, values and vision of our [credit union]. … I'd also like to thank our staff and all our key stakeholders [and] partners that I have the privilege of leading and serving alongside—you made it easy to say, 'yes' to this opportunity," Wise said in a social media post.
