Worldline, DFM partner to boost instant payments, clearing, and settlement

Tuesday 27 September 2022 11:21 CET | News

The Netherlands-based financing partner for enterprises DFM has chosen global player in payment services Worldline to be its instant payments and clearing & settlement mechanism partner.

The partnership allowed Worldline to successfully implement its payments programme within nine months, and now is the sole handler of instant payments and back-office processing services for DFM through its payment license partner, Volkswagen Bank.

Reducing costs and complexity

By choosing Worldline as its partner, DFM now has access to the former’s Instant Payments Clearing & Settlement mechanisms, as well as the Instant Payments back-office. The service is part of Worldline’s large back-office processing product portfolio, together with other useful tools that handle additional payment types, including SEPA, high-value, and multi-currency payments.

Worldline’s modular European Payments Council (EPC) and PSD2 compliant portfolio is designed to seamlessly be used by any bank no matter its size and can be easily implemented in nine months, reducing costs and overall complexity at a European level. This allows customers like DFM to quickly access the benefits of outsourcing and help their end-customers enjoy solid and future-focused solutions.

Outsourcing back-office services has proven a useful and business-oriented technique adopted by various companies and banks of all sizes, as it allows them to access new operating models for their payments processing businesses, lowering costs and reducing friction and complexity at the same time.

The partnership between Worldline and DFM can boost the latter, allowing it to position itself better strategically and accelerate digitalisation among end-users, while focusing on a complex and qualitative user experience.
