Cryptocurrency investment firm Bitwise today raised $4 million in seed funding.
Investors in this round included Kholsa Ventures’ Keith Rabois, General Catalyst’s Hemant Taneja, Blockchain Capital, Naval Ravikant, Suna Said, Adam Ludwin, Adam Nash and Elad Gil.
Based in San Francisco, Bitwise is an investing fund that focuses on the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. In October, the company revealed its HOLD 10 Private Index Fund, which gives accredited U.S. investors in the U.S. access to the cryptocurrency market without having to buy the digital assets.
The 10 cryptocurrencies in Bitwise’s index include bitcoin, ether, and bitcoin cash, among others.
