CA Technologies, CNN Pair On Political Data App

CA Technologies has a new partner in the mainstream media world: CNN.

The duo have paired up on a new initiative that combines two factors that each of the companies specialize in: data and politics.

This newly launched app, built with CA Tech’s software, dives into the latest happenings in polling data, delegate counting, voting and fundraising data for the 2016 presidential election. This app was made in collaboration with CA Tech’s new campaign called “App Culture.”

“We are trying to elevate CA and make CA more visible, particularly to audiences we don’t normally reach that well,” said Lauren Flaherty, CMO at CA Technologies.

“Demonstrating software is not the easiest thing to do,” she said. “We wanted to be part of a really big conversation — a conversation that is very visible and very in the moment. This presidential election is already one of the hottest conversations on the planet today, and CNN is in the thick of it with broadcast, digital, mobile and social.”

This app is aimed at helping stakeholders and decision-makers, along with consumer and business leaders, get personalized alerts about what’s happening with the election. All in real time, of course.

“As we invest in politics and the election coverage, from an advertising sales standpoint, our sales team is always looking for big, great partners that can work with us and represent our brand and their brands,” Katrina Cukaj, executive VP of portfolio sales and client partnerships at Turner Ad Sales, said in an interview.

“CA has the expertise that is perfect for what we do here as we continue to build data-driven products for viewers and users across digital, TV, mobile and social. We want to give them the data they need so they can figure out what is going on with the election.”
