EXCLUSIVE – Josh Rowland, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Lead Bank, will join Jane Barratt, CEO of GoldBean, to discuss banking innovation and bank-startup partnerships.
Bank Innovation 2018 will take place March 5-6 in San Francisco.
At Lead Bank, a Kansas City, Mo.-based community bank, Lead, Rowland serves in multiple management roles, including membership in the Bank’s Executive Committee, Loan Committee, and oversight of the Bank’s marketing and technology functions. He is also the President and CEO of Lead Financial Group, the holding company, which owns 100% of the bank. In addition, Rowland is on the board of MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault), the Kansas City Art Institute and the Kansas City Symphony.
Barratt is a prominent speaker on the fitnech circuit. Her New York-based startup GoldBean offers financial education and other tools to help novice investors find their feet. GoldBean was a member of the inaugural class of INV Fintech, Bank Innovation’s sister accelerator.
At Bank Innovation, Rowland and Barratt will present on Bank-Fintech Partnerships: A Case Study, in which they will discuss innovation strategies for smaller banks, with a focus on banks working together with financial technology startups.
The event will also feature speakers from Chain, Visa, Royal Bank of Canada, Mastercard, Wells Fargo, and more. Attendees to the event will see startup demos, panels and presentations, and have the chance to seek advice and insights from fintech experts at the Innovation Bar.
