Stephane Wyper, who runs Mastercard’s partnerships related to the Internet of Things, as well as new commerce, has joined the Bank Innovation 2018 speaker faculty. He will present on the challenge of creating a global fintech operation, whether you’re a startup or an established corporation.
Mastercard is experienced at these sorts of deals — witness its partnerships with such companies as Coin and Garmin.
In his role, Wyper and his team are responsible for leading Mastercard’s efforts to commercialize new commerce opportunities covering the Internet of Things, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. This includes identifying key needs in this space that Mastercard can solve for, as well as developing relationships with leading players across specific IoT verticals including connected car, smart home, connected office, and the future of retail.
Previously, Stephane founded and led Mastercard’s global startup engagement group, known as Mastercard Start Path, working with over 120 early stage companies across the commerce space through a combination of operational partnership, strategic investment, and commercial access.
Also at Bank Innovation 2018 are speakers from Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Green Dot, Visa, Chain, Fiserv, and the Royal Bank of Canada. Request your invitation here.
