MasterCard released a series of videos earlier this month to promote the various ways its Masterpass service can be used to buy the little things in life with a single click. You know, like buying that little black dress that just happened to catch your eye, by chance, after you spent three hours (totally not during work) searching for the perfect one, or buying a train ticket in the 0.8-second window you have between getting to the station and your train’s departure. Every time.
Masterpass is currently supported by 17 bank partners including Bank of America and Capital One, and the system supports online payments, mobile payments, and contactless payments, so users can simply tap their phones at a supported pay terminal or wave it in the general vicinity and move on with their lives.
As of January this year, there were an estimated 40 million users of Masterpass.
