Prudential Bancorp in Pennsylvania Selects New Chief

Prudential Bancorp in Philadelphia has a new chief executive.

The $522 million-asset company said in a press release Tuesday that Dennis Pollack had also become its president. Pollack succeeded Joseph Corrato, 55, who retired after spending 38 years at the company.

Pollack had been a director at the company and at Savings Institute Bank & Trust in Willamantic, Conn., according to his LinkedIn page. He previously served as president and CEO at Savings Bank of Rockland County in Spring Valley, N.Y., from 1989 to 1996, and CBC BanCorp in Stamford, Conn., from 1997 to 2000.

Corrato was Prudential's chief financial officer when he succeeded Thomas Vento as president and CEO last year.

Corrato will remain at Prudential as a director emeritus.
