Former Oklahoma governor and American Bankers Association chief Frank Keating has been named a director of BancFirst in Oklahoma City.
Keating, now a partner with the law firm Holland & Knight, joined the 21-member BancFirst board on March 24 as an independent director, the $6.7 billion-asset company said Wednesday. His term expires in May, at which point he will stand for re-election.
Keating led the ABA from 2011 until 2015. He joined Holland & Knight in February as an adviser to financial services firms. Keating, a Republican, was the governor of Oklahoma from 1995 to 2003.
