Casper Gives NYC A Napping Experience

Ever been so tired at work that you actually thought to yourself, “I would pay to take a nap right now?”

Well, there’s good news for the truly tired and in need of an invigorating nap in New York City: Casper will sell you a nap – for $25.

The sleep-deprived can reserve a sleep nook, called The Dreamery, for a 45-minute, $25 session. The nooks, according to firsthand reports, are round, curtained-off and surrounded by soundproof backing and contain a Casper bed. Users are also given lockers to store their stuff while they slumber, a private washroom to freshen-up in and a coffee lounge to get pepped up in before or after one’s nap (though it seems that drinking coffee right before a nap might be ill-advised). Users can even change into some pajamas they keep on site.

Sheets and all other linens are changed between sleepers.

“The Dreamery is about making sleep and rest a part of our regular wellness routines — similar to how many people prioritize a workout class,” said COO Neil Parikh in a statement. “The concept enables us to pilot new ways of bringing better sleep to more people and to more places — whether that’s here, the workplace, airports or beyond.”

Plus, if the consumer awakens especially refreshed and renewed, wondering how they too could have a Casper mattress to call their own? Good news. The sleepytime storefront is located strategically on the same city block that houses the Casper sleep store, so those who had a good nap can box it up and take it with them.

Will the city that never sleeps suddenly take to $25 napping? Well, it might sound a bit silly – but then again, it is probably quite a bit easier than trying to build a bed under one’s desk at work.
