It’s opportunity time for fintech startups.
On March 12, 2019, Bank Innovation will host its ninth DEMOvation Challenge, in which fintech startups demo before a crowd of conference attendees in the hopes of earning their vote and walking away with fabulous prizes. The competiton is part of the wider Bank Innovation Ignite conference, which returns to Seattle after a two-year sojourn in the Bay Area.
The competition welcomes fintech startups of all kinds, from insurtech to regtech to lending to payments. Companies will be given eight minutes to demo and two minutes for Q&A. The audience will choose its two favorites, and a panel of judges will then call the two companies on stage to interview them and determine a final winner.
Last year’s winner was Baton Systems, a distributed ledger-based payments platform. The judges included fintech strategist and consultant Brad Leimer, Ryan Gilbert from Propel Venture Partners, and Matt Wilcox, senior vice president, marketing strategy and innovation, Fiserv.
