Reasons to attend

Why the ThinkBIG conference?

Abrigo’s annual conferences have brought together industry experts, financial institution peers, BSA/AML professionals, CPAs, auditors, and regulators for nearly two decades. Of course, conferences have looked a little different over the past year due to the coronavirus pandemic, including Abrigo’s ThinkBIG events, which went virtual in 2020. Understandably, many banking professionals are likely weighing the pros and cons of various conferences in 2021 due to ongoing uncertainty.

Given these concerns, Abrigo is committed to making ThinkBIG 2021 more safe and accommodating than ever while providing can’t-miss speakers addressing the critical issues bankers face today. The 2021 ThinkBIG conference will bring together the “Fighting Financial Crime” and “Manage Risk. Drive Growth.” conferences, which were previously held in the spring and fall, respectively, and offer three conference tracks and larger general sessions to set financial institutions up for success. The FinCrime track will focus on BSA/AML and fraud detection topics, while the Credit + Lending track will cover topics on managing credit risk and making smarter loans, faster. The Portfolio Risk + CECL track will focus on stress testing, asset/liability management, CECL (for those who have adopted and those still transitioning to the new standard), and more.

With the changing political landscape, new regulations, economic uncertainty, and pandemic relief efforts, it’s never been more imperative to get the most up-to-date information from industry experts and learn from peers’ experiences. Still on the fence about attending ThinkBIG 2021? Here are five more reasons why your institution should register today:

Register with confidence

Conditions are changing rapidly and Abrigo is committed to being as flexible as possible to accommodate attendees. In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, attendees have the option to attend virtually or in-person. Virtual attendees will have access to all of the sessions, though some sessions will be live-streamed while others will be pre-recorded. All sessions will be viewable at any time; however, virtual attendees will only receive continuing education credits for live-streamed sessions. In-person attendees will enjoy the experience of live sessions, networking, dining, and other social events. In-person attendees are eligible to receive continuing education credits and enjoy the beautiful La Cantera Resort & Spa.

If COVID-19 regulations result in the cancellation of the in-person event, the conference will transition to a fully virtual event. Because of the extenuating circumstances, registrants may cancel their registration prior to the event and receive a full refund or switch to the streamed virtual event at no additional cost.

Enjoy La Cantera Resort & Spa

Those interested in participating in-person will have the opportunity to enjoy the AAA® Four Diamond La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX. La Cantera has taken many safety initiatives to ensure that guests can enjoy its luxurious amenities with peace of mind. Attendees who stay at La Cantera can take advantage of two world-class golf courses, a destination spa, luxury cabanas among the five sparkling pools, and more. The resort is a stone’s throw away from Texas Hill Country wineries, downtown San Antonio, the famous River Walk, and the city’s shopping and dining scene.

Receive continuing education credits

The ThinkBIG sessions are informative and educational, but you don’t have to just take our word for it. Abrigo is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Accounting CPE credits will be available during ThinkBIG. We estimate attendees will earn up to 14 accounting CPE credit hours per track and 12-14 credits for the BSA/FinCrime track.

Network with bankers, auditors, and regulators

Networking has always been table stakes to ThinkBIG events, but we understand getting the chance to connect one-on-one with other banking peers, regulators, and experts is more important than ever. At ThinkBIG, attendees can network and meet with other participants and speakers throughout the two-and-a-half-day event. Talk to other bankers and meet with experts during breaks, lunches, cocktail receptions, and the BIG Bankers Night – a night of outdoor fun, delicious Texas food, and networking.

Get a first look at the newest Abrigo products

Abrigo is constantly evolving, improving, and adding products to its technology line-up, and at ThinkBIG, attendees will have the opportunity to have a first look at the latest Abrigo innovations. Product discovery labs will be open throughout the event so attendees can get hands-on experience with Abrigo experts, see new products in action, and learn tips and tricks.

ThinkBIG 2021 has something for everyone. Take advantage of early bird registration through January 31 to maximize savings. Regular registration ends April 30.
