BCC Bancshares in Va. Hires Next Chief

BCC Bancshares in Phenix, Va., has hired its next chief executive.

American National Bankshares in Danville, Va., said in a press release Friday that Dabney Gilliam, its chief administrative officer, will resign at the end of this month to join the $131 million-asset parent of Bank of Charlotte County.

Gilliam, who will start as an executive vice president, will become BCC’s chief executive in July, the release said.

Gilliam has been the $1.5 billion-asset American National’s chief administrative officer since 2008. He has served a number of leadership roles at the company, including senior loan officer and chief banking officer.
