Augmented Analytics with MicroStrategy at #GartnerSYM 2018

Business intelligence (BI) helps organizations transform their data into actionable intelligence and make smarter business decisions. But according to one Gartner survey, only about 30 percent of employees are using analytics. So how can enterprises increase adoption? Augmented analytics may be the answer.

What is Augmented Analytics?

The volume, variety and veracity of big data is continuing to increase. And this has made manual analytics processes more difficult to determine the most relevant and actionable data. In order to stay abreast, organizations need to adopt augmented analytics.

Augmented analytics is an automated approach that analyzes data using machine learning and natural language processing. This approach can analyze more critical data faster and more efficiently than a data scientist or analyst can. Not to mention these professionals are very scarce and expensive to hire, making it more cost-effective to implement augmented analytics. This type of analytics is designed to automatically conduct analyses and provide actionable insights with little to no assistance. Therefore, freeing up time for executives to make strategic, tactical and well-informed business decisions.

Increase Analytics Adoption

Organizations need to go beyond conventional dashboards and leverage modern technology in order to bring insights to its employees. Today people want data intelligence to find them, regardless of the device they’re using or where they are. In order to increase analytics adoption, users need to be able to access insights without having to leave their normal workflow. They need analytics embedded where they do their work. And the reality is that users don’t have just one or two ideal interfaces they work in. MicroStrategy plus augmented analytics is capable of solving this challenge. If users can get the data insights they need when and where they want it, then user adoption will increase.
